Job Description

This position requires participation in a wide range of marketing/community initiatives and will also involve supporting the Content and Sales teams under the direction of the Associate Director of Network Content. You will work with b5media’s various teams to produce a diverse range of high quality materials while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities·    Support day-to-day activities related to b5media’s marketing and blogger community activities·    Produce marketing publications (such as newsletters, fact sheets, press releases and media kits) as well as coordinate their distribution·    Develop editorial and marketing content for website and other marketing initiatives·    Ensure marketing materials are regularly updated and current·    Develop and distribute relevant marketing information required to support sales efforts·    Assist in planning and execution of events and conferences and, as needed, attend events·    Field and evaluate external media opportunities·    Research editorial calendars and publicity opportunities·    Miscellaneous administrative, marketing and public relations dutiesQualifications ·    College certificate/diploma or university degree in marketing/communications/public relations·    Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role·    Outstanding written verbal and communication skills·    Demonstrated ability to develop marketing materials (print and digital) and generate/build excitement around brands·    Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills·    Superior ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously·    Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (required), HTML programming and Adobe Creative Suite (would be an asset)·    Interest in blogging and  awareness of current/emerging social media treads also assets
